College of Oil and Energy Holds a Meeting to Discuss the Implementation of the Bologna Process

As part of the preparations at the College of Engineering Technology for Oil and Energy in Al-Muthanna to welcome its first batch of students, and under the direct guidance of the Dean, Professor Dr. Sabah Mohammed, an important meeting was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Sadiq Hassan Al-Kaabi, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs and Students. The meeting included department heads, secretaries, and unit managers.

The meeting discussed several key topics, including the implementation mechanisms of the Bologna Process. This system is one of the modern digital educational frameworks aimed at improving the quality of education by adopting standardized quality criteria, which supports higher education in enhancing student employability and fostering global competitiveness.

The goal of the meeting was to focus on the necessary preparations for applying the system in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, including curriculum development, providing qualified academic staff, and ensuring the proper infrastructure such as laboratories and classrooms to meet the new system’s requirements. Additionally, the discussion covered how to adapt teaching and evaluation methods according to Bologna standards, with the aim of promoting interaction between students and faculty members and improving educational outcomes.

This meeting is part of a series of meetings and preparations the college is undertaking in preparation for the 2024-2025 academic year.
