
Middle Euphrates Technical University Publishes Its 2024 Annual Titled “Middle Euphrates Technical University Yearbook: Toward Sustainable Pathways”

Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Sabah Mohammad , Dean of the Engineering Technical College for Oil and Energy in Al-Muthanna, one of the formations of the Middle Euphrates Technical University, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the college organized an awareness seminar titled “Behavior and Ethics of University Students.” The seminar was attended by department heads, faculty members, and students.
The seminar began with a welcoming speech by Assistant Prof. Dr. Sadiq Hassan Al-Kaabi, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Students, who expressed his happiness in welcoming the new students. He emphasized that the transition from school to university life requires students to build an independent and responsible personality and to adapt to a new academic environment based on commitment and seriousness. He also encouraged students to strive for excellence in their studies, adhere to ethical values, and maintain the uniform dress code as a symbol of discipline and responsibility.
Mr. Fadel Abdul Khader, Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the college, delivered a lecture on the importance of adhering to proper university behaviors, building positive relationships with peers and faculty members, and emphasized the role of students in creating an exceptional learning environment that supports academic excellence.
Prof. Muslim Hamza, Head of the Educational Guidance Unit at the Technical Institute, also contributed with a valuable intervention, offering advice on how to adapt to university life and overcome academic and personal challenges.
This event is part of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Orientation Week launched by the Ministry of Higher Education to enhance psychological and educational support and build a responsible personality among students.
