
Middle Euphrates Technical University Publishes Its 2024 Annual Titled “Middle Euphrates Technical University Yearbook: Toward Sustainable Pathways”

The Council of the Engineering Technical College for Oil and Energy held its fourth meeting, chaired by Prof. Dr. Sabah Mohammed , the Dean of the College, who began the session with a welcoming speech. He praised the efforts of the council members in enhancing the academic and administrative performance of the college, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in achieving the college’s ambitious goals.
The session covered several key topics, including the follow-up on assignments within the academic departments, with a focus on equipping scientific laboratories and developing classrooms to provide a comprehensive learning environment that meets students’ needs. The council also discussed the latest developments in the implementation of the Bologna Professional Track, which is a pivotal step in updating academic curricula in line with international standards.
On the administrative side, the meeting reviewed efforts to issue badges for staff members and university IDs for students, stressing the importance of continuously updating student records and ensuring coordination between the academic departments and the Student Affairs Unit to improve data accuracy.
The council also discussed the formation of examination committees, emphasizing the need for early preparation and the provision of all logistical requirements to ensure smooth and efficient exams. Additionally, preparations for the upcoming Fourth International Scientific Conference, scheduled to be held at the Technical Institute of Samawah early next year, were also reviewed, with a focus on the importance of cooperation between the college and the institute to ensure the success of this significant academic event.
Dr. Sabah Mohammed commended the role of the Middle Euphrates Technical University in supporting the college by providing new academic staff with advanced degrees, which has helped fill gaps and enhance both scientific and administrative capabilities. These staff members have been assigned tasks that support the development of academic departments.
At the end of the session, Prof. Dr. Sabah Mohammed reaffirmed the college’s commitment to continuing its efforts to achieve its future vision and strengthen its academic standing in service to students and the scientific community. The council members, in turn, expressed their gratitude for the dean’s ongoing efforts in leading the college towards further development and excellence.
