Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University organizes University Guidance Week to promote academic and moral values

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Latef Al-Zubaidi, President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Sabah Muhammad Al-Mutuki, Dean of the Technical Engineering College and the Samawah Technical Institute, and within the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation Unit organized the activities of “University Guidance Week,” in the presence of A number of Academic staff and students.

The events opened with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the reading of Surat Al-Fatiha for the souls of the martyrs, followed by the playing of the national anthem. Professor Dr. Sabah Muhammad Al-Mutuki gave a speech in which he praised the university’s role in supporting technical education and appreciated the efforts of the local government in providing a supportive educational environment, calling on students to adhere to moral values ​​and strive to achieve their ambitions.

He also talked about a future vision that aims to expand academic specializations and create new colleges that meet the needs of the labor market, thus supporting sustainable development in the governorate.

The activities included a guidance lecture entitled ((Guidance: The Message of the Prophets and the Curriculum of the Righteous)) delivered by Sheikh Haider Ali Al-Yonsi, who highlighted the importance of academic guidance and moral values ​​in building the university student’s character. In conclusion, the deanship presented a shield of appreciation to Sheikh Al-Younesi in honor of his distinguished role in spreading awareness and promoting moral values ​​among students, in addition to providing certificates of appreciation to distinguished students in support of their efforts and encouraging them to continue their success.

University Guidance Week reflects Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University’s commitment to providing an integrated educational environment and promoting academic and moral values, within the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education to achieve sustainable development and serve the community.
