Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University organizes an awareness seminar entitled ((Cybersecurity and Avoiding Electronic Blackmail))

Under the direct guidance and supervision of Prof. Dr. Sabah Muhammad Al-Mutawaki, Dean of the Technical College of Engineering for Oil and Energy, the Information and Communications Technology Division at the college, one of the formations of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, and in cooperation with the leadership of the Muthanna Governorate Police, organized an awareness seminar on cybersecurity and avoiding electronic blackmail.

The seminar aimed to develop the skills of the participants and educate them about the importance of protecting their personal data, with a focus on how to confront smartphone hacking and electronic fraud. The workshop included an explanation of the types of electronic threats that individuals face, in addition to providing practical and simplified advice on the best ways to protect personal information and ensure security in cyberspace.

The seminar was attended by Major Engineer Asaad Abdul-Bari Kreidi, Director of the Cybersecurity Division at the Muthanna Governorate Police Command, who gave a detailed presentation on the most prominent digital security challenges and ways to prevent them.

These awareness seminars come within the framework of the efforts of the Middle Euphrates Technical University to enhance community awareness and keep pace with the rapid technological development with the aim of building a safe society capable of facing electronic challenges with confidence and awareness.
