Technical College of Engineering for Oil and Energy / Al-Muthanna organizes a scientific trip to the Oil Pipelines Company – Samawah Depot

As part of the continuous efforts of the Middle Euphrates Technical University to enhance the practical and applied aspect of its students, and under the direct supervision of Professor Dr. Sabah Muhammad Al-Mutawaki, Dean of the Technical College of Engineering, the Department of Fuel and Energy Engineering Technologies at the college, in cooperation with the Department of Oil and Gas Refining Technologies at the Samawah Technical Institute, organized a scientific trip to the Oil Pipelines Company – Samawah Depot.
The students and the teaching staff were received by Eng. Muhammad Badr Ghazi, the site manager, and a number of the site staff, where the reception was full and distinctive. The visit included field trips and a detailed explanation of the operational processes, storage techniques, and approved maintenance methods to ensure the efficiency and safety of pipes and facilities. A theoretical lecture was also given by specialized professors that addressed the technical aspects and challenges facing work in this field.
This trip aims to enhance students’ knowledge and link theoretical study with practical application, which enriches their technical experiences and enhances their future opportunities in the labor market. These activities come within the efforts of the Middle Euphrates Technical University to prepare distinguished and qualified technical cadres in the field of fuel and energy.
At the end of the visit, Dr. Bilal Naji Al-Hasnawi, Head of the Department of Fuel and Energy Engineering Technologies, expressed his deep thanks to the administration and workers at the Samawah warehouse for the warm reception and efforts made to provide the opportunity for students to closely learn about the practical reality. He also conveyed to them the thanks of the college deanship for the distinguished cooperation and high hospitality.
