Technical College of Oil and Energy Organizes Awareness Seminar on Public Safety and Traffic Signs

In line with inter-institutional cooperation to serve public welfare, the Psychological Guidance and Educational Counseling Unit at the Technical College of Oil and Energy – part of Middle Euphrates Technical University – in collaboration with Al-Muthanna Traffic Directorate, organized an awareness seminar titled:
“Traffic Signs and Their Role in Public Safety.”

The seminar began with a welcome to the Traffic Directorate officers, followed by a recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha in honor of the martyrs Sayyid Mohammed Baqir Al-Sadr and his sister Bint Al-Huda, coinciding with the anniversary of their martyrdom.

Key topics covered by Major Ali Salman Kazem and Captain Karrar Majid Karim:

• Traffic accident risks: Causes, types, and prevention measures.
• Explanation of traffic signs and guidelines.
• Procedures for obtaining a driver’s license.
• Honoring students with driver’s licenses for their compliance and traffic awareness.

A Q&A session was held to discuss traffic laws and their role in enhancing public safety.

Closing Remarks:
Asst. Prof. Dr. Sadiq Hassan Abdulaziz, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, thanked the lecturers and organizers, praising the collaboration between the college and Al-Muthanna Traffic Directorate in promoting traffic safety awareness among students and youth.
