Activating the Cooperation Agreement Between Middle Technical University and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad at the Iraqi-Iranian Science Week Forum Held in Holy Karbala

Strengthening Academic Ties and Expanding Opportunities for Students
In affirmation of the deep academic relations between the two countries and in pursuit of enhancing scientific exchange, joint research and development programs, as well as faculty and student exchanges between the two universities, Middle Technical University (MTU) is moving forward to implement the cooperation agreement with Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM).

As part of this initiative:
✅ FUM professors will conduct interviews with MTU students wishing to study at Ferdowsi University on the MTU campus, reducing costs and logistical burdens for applicants.
✅ MTU charges no fees for hosting this activity, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable strategic partnerships that elevate education and research while supporting Iraqi students seeking international study opportunities.

The University President emphasized that this step aligns with MTU’s strategic vision of scientific and technical openness, knowledge exchange, and contributing to the goals of higher education and community service.

The agreement was signed in the presence of:

Dr. Haider Abd Dahad Al-Rubaie, Scientific Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Sheikh Gholamreza Abazari, Iranian Cultural Attaché in Iraq.

A delegation of Iraqi and Iranian university presidents.
