A Delegation from Middle Euphrates Technical University Visits the Central Library at the Technical Engineering College of Oil and Energy

Professor Dr. Sabah Mohammed Al-Matouki, Dean of the Technical Engineering College of Oil and Energy, received a delegation from Middle Euphrates Technical University, headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Sahira Aied Abdul-Sahib, Director of the Central Library Department at the university.

The visit was conducted in accordance with ministerial recommendations and as part of the university’s plan to update the Koha system and monitor the workflow of libraries in the technical colleges.

During the inspection tour, the delegation reviewed the contents of the college library, the borrowing system, cataloging and organization mechanisms, as well as the implementation of Koha—an open-source library management software used to efficiently manage all library functions.

For his part, Dr. Al-Matouki expressed his appreciation for the visit, praising the committee’s efforts in supporting library operations and unifying systems across the university’s branches to ensure improved library service quality in line with approved standards.
