University of Technology and Technical Engineering College for Oil and Energy / Al-Muthanna Sign Scientific and Research Cooperation Agreement

In line with Middle Technical University’s direction towards enhancing scientific cooperation and exchanging expertise among Iraqi universities, the Technical Engineering College for Oil and Energy / Al-Muthanna, a constituent of Middle Technical University, signed a scientific and research cooperation agreement with the University of Technology, represented by the College of Petroleum and Gas Engineering.

The College was represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Sadiq Hassan Al-Lawzi, Dean of the Technical Engineering College for Oil and Energy, in the presence of Dr. Mustafa Shaker Farman, Head of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering Technologies. The University of Technology was represented by Professor Dr. Fadhil Sarhan Kazim, Dean of the College of Petroleum and Gas Engineering.

Objectives of the Agreement:
🔸 Developing academic curricula in oil and energy disciplines to align with labor market requirements.
🔹 Training and developing teaching staff and enhancing their scientific and practical competencies.
🔸 Promoting joint scientific research in the fields of oil, gas, and energy.
🔹 Aligning engineering programs and specializations in oil and energy with national labor market needs.
🔸 Organizing joint workshops, training courses, and scientific seminars.
🔹 Joint supervision of student graduation projects in relevant disciplines.
🔸 Exchanging scientific visits between faculty and students, as well as sharing expertise and academic resources.

For his part, Assistant Professor Dr. Sadiq Hassan Al-Lawzi emphasized that this partnership represents a qualitative leap for the College, stressing that collaborating with established universities like the University of Technology contributes to improving the quality of educational outcomes and providing the national economy with engineering competencies in the energy and oil sector.
