Praise be to Allah, who has blessed us with the gift of Islam, security, and safety. Prayers and peace be upon the noblest of prophets and messengers, our Prophet Muhammad and his pure and honorable family. I welcome all visitors to the website of the College of Petroleum and Energy Engineering / Al-Muthanna.

The College of Petroleum and Energy Engineering was established at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University in 2024 in Al-Muthanna Governorate, as the first technical college for petroleum and energy engineering in Iraq. This will make it a major contributor to Iraq’s entry into the era of technical renaissance and its role in graduating and training qualified and active Iraqi engineers who will hold senior positions in the country’s oil sector.

The college includes two departments: Fuel and Energy Engineering and Oil and Gas Engineering Technologies. These departments offer undergraduate programs in accordance with the Bologna Process system.

The college is keen to attract distinguished faculty members from our country and annually enrolls many top-performing students from the scientific branch of preparatory schools. It also offers opportunities for outstanding non-Iraqi students through the “Study in Iraq” program to continue their studies in the bachelor’s degree program. The college has many laboratories and research facilities equipped with the latest technology and modern equipment to assist students and researchers in conducting studies and research.

The college strives to serve the community and the technical petroleum engineering profession by offering consulting services to both the private and public sectors, conducting specialized courses and workshops, organizing conferences and seminars, and participating in scientific forums locally and internationally.
