Vision :

The Department of Fuel and Energy Engineering at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University was established on July 25, 2024, to contribute to providing engineering competencies in the field of fuel and energy engineering. The department, through the efforts of its faculty and staff, aims to meet the needs of national industries for engineering teams working in various sectors, including the oil industry, petrochemical, construction, food, and pharmaceutical industries. The department also contributes to keeping pace with scientific developments and openness towards the frontiers of knowledge through its undergraduate specialization programs.

Mission:

Providing exceptional education and preparing engineers in the field of Fuel and Energy Engineering to serve the chemical industry, power generation units, and other sectors related to energy and fuel production, as well as renewable energy sources in both public and private institutions. This is achieved through the latest methods and modern technologies, while also focusing on conducting applied research and studies to solve industrial problems that benefit the scientific and economic sectors of the country.

Preparing engineers specialized in fuel production and finding new sources of energy.Serving the department’s graduates and interacting with the job market.Finding new methods for fuel and energy production that are environmentally friendly and cost-effective.Designing equipment and units for fuel and energy production.Conducting applied research and studies related to energy production.Supporting governmental and private institutions through training, development, and consultancy services.Engaging with the community and understanding its energy needs through field studies.

Job description :

Dealing with fuel and energy technologies in all their forms, including fuel production, transportation, distribution, and utilization for energy generation.Contributing to the design and engineering of equipment and devices used in the production of fuel and alternative energy.Maintaining equipment and devices used in the production and storage of fuel and energy.Operating and controlling machinery and equipment used for energy generation from various sources.Conducting research and development studies related to the production, management, and storage of fuel and energy.Identifying suitable fuel types and selecting the precise and correct technological methods to determine the required specifications.
