It is with great pleasure and honor that I welcome you all to the Technical Engineering College for Oil and Energy in Al-Muthanna. This academic institution strives for excellence and leadership, keeping pace with scientific and modern advancements in the fields of oil and energy. It is dedicated to preparing a generation of distinguished engineers capable of advancing our nation and actively contributing to the development of its vital sectors. The college aims to:
- Qualify technical engineers who can be integrated into the workforce, leveraging their scientific and technical expertise in the fields of oil and energy upon graduation.
- Aspire to graduate competent engineers specializing in oil and energy engineering, following the latest internationally accredited curricula, to execute various engineering projects currently needed by the country. This is achieved by providing a high-quality engineering, educational, and research environment in oil, gas, fuel, and energy engineering to build and serve their homeland.
- Develop sustainable technical plans and programs that contribute to community service through curriculum development and the promotion of scientific innovations.
- Build scientific partnerships with public, private, and international universities, and advance research efforts to address diverse challenges.
Our college, established as part of the Middle Technical University for the academic year 2024–2025, includes the following departments:
- Department of Oil and Gas Engineering Technologies
- Department of Fuel and Energy Engineering Technologies
- Department of Drilling and Oil & Gas Production Engineering Technologies
This establishment addresses the urgent need to supply the labor market with specialized technical competencies that combine theoretical knowledge and practical application, keeping pace with rapid advancements in traditional and renewable oil, gas, and energy sectors. The college is considered a pioneering institution in Iraq and a peer in the fields of oil, gas, and energy, with a promising future for its dear students through its academic programs.
- The Department of Oil and Gas Engineering Technologies focuses on teaching students the engineering fundamentals for exploring, analyzing, and designing petroleum systems for oil and gas production, as well as leading projects in oil fields.
- The Department of Fuel and Energy Engineering Technologies provides field training for students in an engineering environment related to fuel and energy, developing traditional and renewable energy sources, and designing and operating energy production and fuel processing systems.
- The Department of Drilling and Oil & Gas Production Engineering Technologies educates students on planning, mastering, and executing drilling operations, designing oil wells, operating advanced equipment, and managing the most complex field operations.
At the college, we prioritize the quality of education and learning in alignment with labor market needs, encourage scientific research, enhance and implement quality standards, engage with the local community, provide essential services and consultations, strengthen partnerships with industrial and local/international institutions, collaborate with public and private sectors, offer specialized consultations, courses, and workshops, and organize conferences and participate in local and international scientific forums.
