The Department of Petroleum and Gas Engineering Technology was established in 2024 at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, located in Al-Muthanna Governorate, to offer a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum and Gas Engineering Technology. This specialization is considered one of the distinguished engineering fields worldwide and in Iraq, especially since Iraq possesses vast oil resources and its economy heavily relies on these resources. This makes graduates of this program highly sought after by major global oil companies. The program essentially focuses on the comprehensive engineering applications related to oil and gas.
