
First-Day Activities of the Awareness Program “I Decide”

The College of Engineering Technology for Oil and Energy in Al-Muthanna, part of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, welcomed its first batch of students for the 2024-2025 academic year. The first day was marked by a warm welcome and orientation from the college’s dean, Professor Dr. Sabah Al-Mutawki. Dr. Al-Mutawki emphasized the importance of diligence in the fields of oil, gas, fuel, and energy, highlighting the vital role these sectors play in supporting the national economy.
In his speech, Dr. Al-Mutawki stressed the need for students to adhere to university regulations, including wearing the official university uniform, maintaining public property, and attending lectures regularly to ensure an organized and effective learning environment. He also reassured students that the college administration is fully committed to supporting them and providing the necessary assistance throughout their academic journey, with the college doors always open to listen to students and help them achieve their goals.
Furthermore, the academic departments distributed class schedules and university emails to students to facilitate their integration into the Bologna Process system, which has been adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This system aims to enhance the quality of academic education and meet international standards in the educational process.
The College of Engineering Technology for Oil and Energy wishes its students a successful academic year full of achievements, learning, and growth. With determination and perseverance, students can achieve academic excellence and build a bright future as innovative engineers contributing to the advancement and prosperity of Iraq.
