Under the direct supervision of Professor Dr. Sabah Muhammad Al-Mutawaki, the Student Activities Division, in cooperation with the Media and Government Communication Division at the Technical College of Engineering for Oil and Energy, affiliated with the Middle Euphrates Technical University, organized a distinguished scientific competition between students of the departments of Fuel and Energy Engineering Technologies and Oil and Gas Engineering Technologies.

The competition was opened with a fragrant recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, coinciding with the occasion of the Prophet’s mission, which added a special atmosphere to the event.

The competition included a set of specialized questions related to renewable energy, oil extraction techniques, and industrial processes, in addition to various questions that included general cultural, sports, and religious information, which contributed to enhancing the atmosphere of interaction and excitement among the participants. The participating students showed enthusiasm and a high competitive atmosphere.

The competition was supervised by Prof. Dr. Khalil Radi Al-Zalzali, Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Sadiq Hassan Al-Kaabi, Assistant Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, who directed and organized the competition to ensure its success.

At the end of the competition, the Department of Fuel and Energy Engineering Technologies won first place, while the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering Technologies presented a distinguished performance that deserved praise. The two teams were honored with cups in appreciation of their achievement, as the honor added a festive touch to the competition.

This activity comes within the framework of the efforts of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University to enhance innovation and scientific excellence and develop the academic and social skills of students, which encourages them to innovate and excel.
