Technical College of Petroleum and Energy Engineering Organizes Scientific Visit to Samawah Oil Depot

The Department of Oil and Gas Engineering Technologies at the Technical College of Petroleum and Energy Engineering in Al-Muthanna, part of Middle Euphrates Technical University, organized a scientific field trip to the Samawah Oil Depot operated by the Iraqi Pipeline Company. The visit was supervised by the department head and a group of faculty members.

Visit Highlights:

🔹 Fuel Storage & Handling:

• Students observed various fuel types and storage mechanisms
• Learned about loading and pumping methods based on fuel type and end-user requirements

🔹 Operational Equipment:

• Examined different types of pumps used in oil transportation
• Reviewed safety equipment and their role in worker protection
