The Legal Division is responsible for supervising all legal actions and cases, providing legal advice, and pleading cases in which the Technical Engineering College of Petroleum and Energy/Al-Muthanna, in its legal capacity, or one of its members is a party to it, in addition to participating in the internal committees of the college or even the problem at the level of the Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, which requires It includes the presence of legal opinion.
tasks and duties
Providing opinion and advice on legal matters.
Preparing a study of various draft laws related to the university and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and expressing an opinion on them.
Auditing contracts related to the college, expressing an opinion on the contracts presented to the department by the college, and approving contracts of all types.
Representing the college before the competent courts and judicial authorities.
Following up on the mechanism for distributing and allocating land and housing units to members of the college affiliated with the Ministry, and then approaching the university/legal affairs department.
Contributing to committees that require legal membership (general inventory of the college – war damage inventory – promotion and bonus). Determining the salary – the Accountability and Justice Committee – the Politically Dismissed Committee – the Dismissal Committee – the Student Discipline Committee – the Bidding Committees – contributing to the numbers of committees that are referred to the Investigative and Audit Legal Division and then implementing the committee’s recommendations).
Any other work assigned by the Division.
The Legal Division consists of
Property and housing unit
Exporting a clearance certificate for college members (transfer, placement, long leave)
Agencies for receiving salaries for college members.
Organizing the division’s incoming and outgoing work.
Legal Consultation Unit
The employee in this unit expresses the opinion requested from him by the departments and divisions of the college and answers oral and written legal inquiries.
Configure all necessary parameters with official mail.
Saving and archiving the division’s mail.
Editing correspondence related to the work of the college and answering inquiries from the university and other relevant groups.
Contracts and Guarantees Unit
Auditing contracts referred to the Legal Division, expressing an opinion regarding them, and then approving them.
Following up on matters related to politically dismissed persons, informing them of the decisions of the Politically Dismissed Committee in the Ministry and the Verification Committee in the Council of Ministers, and responding to the letters received against them.
Pledges to accountability and justice.
Pledges for students (postgraduate studies, initial studies)
Pledges for employees (maternity leave, five-year leave, long leaves, marital pledge leave)
Guarantees referred to the Legal Division (guarantees for primary and postgraduate students (employee and non-employee), guarantees for members enjoying academic leave within the Republic of Iraq, loan guarantees for teachers and employees) and all types of guarantees.
Unit of rights and legal cases
The employee in this unit represents the college before the competent courts.
Representing the college before the Integrity Commission in all its branches for the purpose of recording statements against the forgery students who claim to be graduates of our college.
Conducting notifications received against members of the college, whether from courts, enforcement departments, or other state departments.
