The Scientific Affairs Unit at the college is responsible for preparing the college’s scientific plans in coordination with our academic departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning & Reporting:
Provide the Scientific Affairs Department/Dean’s Office of the Petroleum and Energy Engineering Technical College with planned and executed scientific reports covering research plans, seminars, scientific research fields, and conferences.
Develop schedules for seminars and panel discussions in coordination with academic departments under the supervision of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, then submit them to the Dean’s Office for approval.
Academic Support:
Monitor faculty members’ scientific activities and facilitate their tasks.
Submit patent applications to the College Dean.
Prepare official requests for student scientific visits and issue administrative orders for these visits.
Collaboration & Agreements:
Draft Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) for scientific cooperation between our college and other higher education institutions or government entities, then follow up on implementation.
Contact universities and service institutions to facilitate scientific collaboration with faculty across academic and professional fields.
Support undergraduate students by coordinating with institutions to facilitate their graduation research projects.
Administrative Oversight:
Issue administrative orders related to faculty assignments, external lecturers, scientific visits, and senior students’ graduation projects.
