One of the duties of the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs is to follow up on the college’s administrative affairs and supervise the units, divisions, and departments affiliated with the college dean. Follow up on administrative affairs. Follow up on the progress of the faculty’s teaching and administrative work. The Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs also follows up on the affairs of the college’s members, including teachers and employees, in terms of following up on their attendance and discipline in accordance with the applicable regulations and instructions, and agreeing to grant them regular, sick, and time leaves after the approval of their affiliated departments, and referring them to the Administrative Division to issue administrative orders related to the leave request and its type. The Administrative, Legal, and Accounts Division falls under the direct supervision of the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, in addition to other units and divisions such as the Parks, Maintenance, and Services Unit. The Assistant Dean also chairs several committees.
Tasks and duties of the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs:
1- Providing administrative support and coordination in implementing the college’s administrative policies and procedures.
2- Cooperating with the Dean of the College in developing administrative plans and programs, monitoring their implementation and reporting on their progress.
3-Coordinating with other departments and administrative units in the college to implement administrative policies and procedures in a consistent and effective manner.
4-Managing daily administrative activities, including coordinating among employees, organizing meetings and appointments, and checking documents and correspondence.
5-Handling personnel issues, including employment, hiring, promotions, performance management, administrative onboarding, and general employee affairs.
6-Supervising the college’s administrative and information systems, including developing and improving internal administrative procedures and systems and ensuring conformity with legal and regulatory requirements.
7-Dealing with issues of infrastructure and administrative facilities, working to develop and improve the infrastructure and ensuring that the necessary administrative needs are provided.
8-Handling administrative finance and budget matters, including preparing and reviewing the budget, monitoring expenses and revenues, and preparing financial reports.
9-Dealing with quality and administrative accreditation issues.
10-Dealing with compliance and legal enforcement issues, including ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory policies and procedures and preparing to respond to internal and external monitoring and audit requirements.
11-Cooperating with external parties, such as government ministries, official bodies and other academic institutions, regarding administrative and organizational affairs.
12-Work to develop and improve work processes and administrative procedures, provide guidance and training to administrative staff, and work to enhance the culture of quality and administrative sustainability in the college.
