Finance Division Officer: tasks and duties

The division consists of the following unit
Archives Unit
It specializes in the process of transferring documents of all types (expenditure – report) to archive records, and its work is related to the accountant. Archives vary according to their nature, including (general daily archive, allocations archive, advances archive, trusts archive, incomes archive…etc.).
Salaries unit
It is responsible for managing the work of salaries for employees and contracts, and preparing salary lists in accordance with the laws in calculating entitlement and deductions. The occupant of this position is subject to the direct supervision of the Director of the Finance Division.
Fund secretariat unit
Its occupant is responsible for withdrawals and deposits with the bank, closing the fund at the end of each month, receiving amounts spent by mistake or employee deductions in accordance with financial instructions, and is directly linked to the Finance Division official. Any error in the work leads to a decrease in employees’ salaries or an error in their deductions.
Accounts Unit
Its occupant is responsible for organizing all entries: preparing accounting entries, organizing registration documents and disbursement documents, and organizing instruments in accordance with the accounting system in force in that unit and in accordance with the financial instructions and administrative orders issued, reconciling the bank statement, and direct communication with the financial division official. Storage unit
This job is located in the Storage unit of the College of Engineering Technology for Petroleum and Energy / Al-Muthanna.
